Idaho Code 49-1004 requires that the owner/operator obtain a special permit or establish intent to obtain a special permit by contacting the Special Permits Office before moving a vehicle on the highways. Go to: permits4idaho.com– The special permit software (ITRPS) will process the necessary special permits for size and weight as needed in Idaho. All special permits can be ordered and processed by customers on their own time schedule. Special Permits maps and attachments can be accessed from the Helpful Links section of the ITRPS homepage.
